Language Challenge

The most challenging challenge on the internet.

The most challenging challenge on the internet.

The only Challenge with Official and recognized Certification* from MMO based on CEFR.

My polyglot language challenge.

For the first time you will take part in a challenge where YOU ARE really IMPORTANT. My polyglot Podcast and TV were created to join and support the language learners and polyglot community to reach their goals! After trying many unsuccessful contacts with other challenges organizers to make a partnership, we decided to have one new and different Challenge.

Our challenge is NOT interested on your money, we are interested ON YOUR SUCESS. To reach a goal is priceless, to get mutual support is priceless, to speak a new language is priceless, so how dare I dare to put a value to help you?

"Nobody can teach you a language, but everybody can support you to learn any language."

“Nobody can teach you a language, but everybody can support you to learn any language.”

How does it work?

Choose a language! To get better success we strongly recommend you try the usual and popular ones, i.e all the European languages, some Slavic languages like Polish, Russian and Czech, popular Asian languages like Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi or Korean, this will make your challenge easier, but you are allowed to take any language, like Chechua or even Klington.

Which level should I reach?

This is the most important part of your challenge, we strongly believe in CEFR, if you are not aware about it read this definition: it is “The result of over twenty years of research, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, teaching, assessment (CEFR) is exactly what its title says it is: a framework of reference. It was designed to provide a transparent, coherent and comprehensive basis for the elaboration of language syllabuses and curriculum guidelines, the design of teaching and learning materials, and the assessment of foreign language proficiency. It is used in Europe but also in other continents and is now available in 39 languages.” (Source:, so we use the scale based on A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.

Which are the 39 languages for CEFR?

Arabic, Albanian, Armenian, Basque, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Estonian, Finnish, French, Friulian, Galician, Georgian, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Macedonian Language, Moldovan, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian (Iekavian version), Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.

Ok, my language is on the list (even if it’s not you can take the challenge) I want to take part in the challenge what is the next step:

As we strongly believe in the idea of a strong and committed polyglot community, we believe that each person should help the other with their native language. As a native speaker of Portuguese and Spanish I really love people speaking my languages. And I’m happy to help people. So, you can be either a language coach, teacher or learner.

Fill the form, record a video (or audio) and post it, to make your challenge public.

How much does it cost?

Nothing, this project in sponsored by other company, but we really believe in commitment, so donations of any amount are welcome, but if you cannot donate anything there is no problem, just be committed and donate your experience, mother tongue, time, and other priceless things.

How is the support?

First get in touch with the head of this project Jimmy Mello on ask him to get into the secret community of My Polyglot Challenge. But if you are learning other language check which one is being learnt in Lingua Franca Challenge, we support their actions as well. In our communities we support each other, watching your videos, giving tips and tricks. Helping you to organize your schedule. Weekly we have a new guest in our podcast that will give you inspiration to learn any language. And from time to time the community will have a meeting on Google hangout and this will be recorded and shared with others.

What happens at the end?

At the end we will have a voluntary guest to conduce a big conversation in the target language. You can also request a private session, to get your level determined, and get your Conversational Certificate in that language stating your current level (this service can be charged).

How do I  start?

The first thing is to be accepted, you have to send me a video, showing me your current abilities and motivation to learn/improve the foreign language. It can be a basic and raw film, like this one:

Once you have been approved, (attention you cannot be approved if your motivation or commitment is not strong enough), so you will receive an email, and will be added to our secret community, and secret area in the website full of free resources. There you will find other people challenging themselves into new languages.

How about the videos?

You will post your evolution, from day 0, day 30, day 60, day 90, and if your challenge is longer, keep posting, like this one:

Day 0

Day 30

When you feel you are ready or have reached your goals, we can will schedule your interview with a native speaker (it can be a volunteer, or you will have to pay por one), we will give additional tips about it after you complete the challenge. And you will be featured as a guest in My Polyglot Podcast, this can be individual or collective.
